human nature gentle cleansing oil review

Human Nature Gentle Cleansing Oil is a 100% natural and hypoallergenic cleansing oil. It claims to melt makeup and nourish skin. It is made with sunflower seed oil which conditions the skin and eyelashes.

How to apply: I usually release two to three pumps of cleansing oil to my dry palms and apply it first to the eye area then my forehead, cheeks and neck. I then proceed to dampen my hands and massage those area with makeup until it melts all of it. Then I wipe those areas again with a damp cloth and proceed to washing my face using a cleansing foam or wash. I do recommend double cleansing to thoroughly clean your face especially if you apply makeup often.

Packaging: The cleansing oil is in a plastic pump that could be recycled through Human Nature's Sining Bote Recycling Program in partnership with Museo Pambata where turned over bottles will be upcycled for different arts and crafts activities. In our local Human Nature branch, they reuse empty bottles as seed starters. In my case, I often reuse packaging with pumps like the Human Nature Cleansing Oil for my DIY skincare products or travel containers for shampoos, etc.

Product: I have used several cleansing oils and my favorite has always been The Body Shop
Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil but after moving back to my home town, I thought it would be more sustainable to purchase products from products that are locally made and could also be bought in town. Good thing we have a local Human Nature branch. So far, I have used the Human Nature Cleansing Balm and I am loving this more than the latter. The reason? Simply the packaging. While the balm is convenient for travel, I do have some struggles with it especially the protective cap and I find the pump more convenient.

Anyway, both the cleansing oil and balm effectively removes makeup even the most stubbon waterproof mascaras, matte lipsticks, etc. It doesn't sting my eyes, doesn't cause any breakout and my face feels super clean after double cleansing.

Price: The Human Nature Gentle Cleansing Oil retails for Php 225 and the bottle is 95ml. It is cheaper than my favorite cleansing oil from The Body Shop, but it has a smaller container but I have been using mine for half a year already and I am half way through :)

Do you use cleansing oils? What is your favorite?
