Minimizing my skincare products was caused by several reasons. I wanted to save money, take better care of my skin by using less harmful chemicals and more organic products, cut down skincare routine time, support locally made and sustainable beauty products. I used to do the 11 step skincare routine to 6-8 skincare routine. And I plan to minimize it more in the future.
Having a minimalist skincare routine doesn't have to be all organic or all natural or from brands you barely know. But choosing or keeping products that works for you best, and can serve multipurpose (if possible). Take note that we have to be consistent as well by not bombarding your skin with many products or changing it up from time to time .
